2020 Call for nominations: SAIEE - IEEE Joint Distinguished Volunteer Award

 

The Joint SAIEE - IEEE Distinguished Volunteer Award promotes the spirit of volunteerism by recognizing a volunteer active in the IEEE, SAIEE or both organizations.

 

The volunteer:

· Makes or made a valuable contribution to the electrical engineering profession in South Africa

· Promotes the electrical/electronic engineering profession in South Africa within IEEE designated fields or meaningfully contributes to one of the social challenges in South Africa through the application of electrical/electrical engineering.

 

We hereby call for nominations for the above award. Nominations to be sent to the SAIEE (by e-mail: geyerg@saiee.org.za), or IEEE (by email: lysko@ieee.org) by the closing date: 15 November 2020 (EXTENDED TO 5 December 2020).

 

The award will be handed to the winner at the SAIEE’s Annual Banquet to be held in 2021 (TBA).
