Prof Pyatenko graduated Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology. He had his PhD degree in Chemical Physics in 1981 at the same University. He had worked as researcher, senior researcher at Institute of High Temperatures Russian Academy of Science (IVTAN). Since 1993 he worked as senior researcher at National Institute of Advance Industrial Science and Technology (AIST) in Japan. Since 2001 his main research interests are nanotechnology and laser processing. He published many papers in high rang journals, gave the invited lectures at several international Conferences. He is a specialist in nanoparticle synthesis, modification and resizing using laser technique.
